But you can dislike Inigo's cheating without calling him a slut or an entitled nice guy. And if you don't want him to be a cheater...just don't pair him with the Avatar.

actually, I was talking more about the people who do dislike Inigo while not being so extreme as to call him a slut or a Nice Guy. should've clarified, whoops.

And if you don't want him to be a cheater...just don't pair him with the Avatar.

it is possible to choose not to marry him off to Robin, however, the fact that it's canonically within his character to cheat doesn't make it any less uncomfortable for fans even if they do avoid the option. also, even if the player marries Inigo off to someone else, the fact that it's within his character to cheat doesn't automatically become not canon. it may not be within the official timeline like every other support out there, but Inigo potentially being a cheater is just doesn't make it any less part of his character as, say, Lucina's desire to support her friends and allies.

Ohhh. Yeah, that would've helped!

While this is true, the fact that it's in him to cheat doesn't have to make him a bad character or a scumbag who doesn't deserve a girlfriend. I headcanon him as being tempted and having to break his bad habit once he gets a girl, and his girl not pulling any punches when she reminds him NOT to do it. But she loves him because she knows he has it in him to stop, and that helps him become a better person.

Not saying that his potential girls are obligated to make him a better person, not by a long shot. He's gotta do it himself. But knowing someone believes you can do better can encourage you, and I like to imagine that's the case with Inigo.

Your mileage may vary, of course. But this is just my take.
