I have no idea where this should go in the venting threads, but

to the anon who today appeared out of nowhere on their soapbox and started going on about how OP should've left a review on that person's fic instead of bitching about it here:

that post is four months old by now. the mod has long axed the fanworks thread if you actually bothered to look at the new post.

no one is saying OP doesn't have to leave the fic writer crit, but I highly doubt they're going to be looking at an old-as-fuck thread at this point.

the tantrum they're throwing there is kinda funny, tho

technically, the anon from that thread says they're another person who doesn't even like the fic writer, and I'm just going to take them at their word for that since there's no way to prove it or not. either way, whether or not they're fic writer doesn't really matter to me.

but yeah, I find it ironic anon is going on about how OP shouldn't be a coward by not directly giving crit to the fic writer's face

they're indirectly criticizing OP by posting their criticisms in a four-month-old thread that OP most likely isn't going to look back at right now

> My point is that you should comment your personal opinions to the author who wrote HER knight in shining armor rather than critique about it harshly behind his/her back like a true coward without any conscious.

> I wonder if you ever critiqued badly about by someone that made you feel like crap and a failure about yourself only to hear it from another person.

They say as they proceed to bitch in a thread made back in January. That no one is likely to read by now in May.

because idk, getting that incensed over a fic that isn't even their own...

They're probably a friend of the author's. Overprotective fanpoodles are still pretty common nowadays.

I just found this by accident today so yeah… I guess everything is all good or neutral.
Have you been critiqued badly before, just wondering since you know that I'm the news cause of my different perspective and ideals than my other family members other Than my mother

...they're still going on despite the being told by different anons to take it to the new post instead of continuing to vent in a four-month-old thread.

while finding out a relative of yours has been treating you like shit behind your back is a sincerely terrible experience, they are not getting anywhere by bitching in a thread that's crusty old by now.

not only that, but what does is ACTUALLY have to do with someone not liking a fanfic? like, what's the use of mentioning such private deals in a completely different context and in front of mere strangers who don't know enough about them to care?

dunno, but that can be easily seen as emotional manipulation. at least that's what it sounds like to me.
